About Tokyo City Guides Club (TCGC)
The NPO Tokyo City Guides Club (TCGC) is a volunteer guide group whose members are primarily people who have passed the Tokyo City Guide Examination administered by the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau, a public interest incorporated foundation. They provide tours and walking tours of Tokyo. We were approved as an NPO on October 18, 2007, and continue to operate to this day. We love Tokyo, and we are here to introduce the charms of this global city to visitors.

City Walking Guide/Tokyo Sightseeing
Our volunteer guides will assist you with sightseeing and walking around Tokyo. In addition to showing you famous and historical sites, popular and trending spots, we can also guide you to classical performing arts, literature, art, commerce and industry, and more, depending on your needs. Please let us know when you apply.
We will introduce you to the highlights and popular spots in the "28 areas" recommended by our guide.

Study Travel Guide
We will guide elementary, junior high and high school students to various parts of Tokyo for independent study, group study and class study for their school trips.

Tokyo City Guide Examination

On June 24th, 2011, the non-profit organization Tokyo City Guide Club (TCGC) was honored with the 2011 Director-General of the Transport Bureau's Tourism Merit Award. This award is given by the Director-General of the Kanto Regional Transport Bureau to individuals (organizations) who have made outstanding contributions to promoting tourism in the region.
TCGC Friends Association Membership Information
Why not take a walk around the global city of Tokyo with us as your guides?
The TCGC Friends' Club is for customers who participate in self-organized tours such as the "Oedo Walking Tour" organized by the Tokyo City Guide Club. By joining, you will receive information and pamphlets on new tours planned twice a year, in the first and second semesters. There is no annual membership fee.
